I earned a MPH from Columbia University in 2009. There I developed my skills in program design and management, research, and evaluation as well as expanding my knowledge of related topics. My graduate thesis examined community participation in GBV prevention in refugee settings. I have had the opportunity to work with a number of UN agencies, non-government organizations, and community groups in humanitarian and development settings.
Recent Projects include:
*a HIV & Most at Risk Young People in Lao PDR rapid needs-assessment ;
*a rights-based programs for vulnerable children in India;
*a SRH and human rights advocacy toolkit for sex workers in Africa and Asia;
*a GBV prevention program evaluation in a refugee camp in Ethiopia;
*a SRH needs assessment for a small humanitarian agency;
*policy research on child abuse and the US child welfare system;
*community-based MCH research with HIV positive women in rural Zimbabwe;
*community outreach at a needle exchange & mobile clinic in Philadelphia;
*participatory curricula on non-discrimination, human rights, child rights, and gender communities and service providers in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the United States;
*conferences on child protection, child participation, & community participation in refugee settings;
Other Projects include:
*assisting at the largest free clinic in the US;
*assisting at the Program for Torture Victims;
*managing a community-based youth development program in Massachusetts;
*providing logistical support to the ILI for Community Engagement in Child Well-Being and a UNICEF Technical Meeting on Children in Armed Conflict;
