Name
Todd Walters is CPBI's Director of Developement and the Program Manager for CPBI's unique Experieintial Peacebuilding programs. Todd completed his Masters Degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from the School of International Service at American University in August 2006. He focused his research efforts in the fledgling field of Environmental Peacemaking – and completed internships at the Environmental Change and Security Program at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars and Habitat for Humanity International in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Based off his masters reseach paper, "Outdoor Experiential Education: A New Tool for Peacebuilding", Todd was asked to write an entry entitled "Experiential Peacebuilding" for the International Encycolpedia of Peace , to be published by Oxford University Press in 2008.

Todd will also publish his paper "Environmental Peacebuilding: Extending the Collaboration Framework" a case study on the joint management of the water in Lago de Titicaca, between Peru and Bolivia; in an edited volume from papers submitted to the September 2007 Confernce on Parks, Peace and Partnerships and published in 2009 by Calgary University Press.

Todd is also a Facilitator at Hemlock Overlook’s Outdoor Experiential Education Center as part of the Center for Professional Development, where he hones his facilitation skills, recognizes group dynamics in actrion, practises risk management and continues learning through experience, how different types of outdoor experiential activities can be adapted for use as peacebuilding tools.

Todd has been selected as the International Volunteer Coordinator for the Balkans Peace Park Summer Program from June 14 to August 10, 2008. He will supervise 30+ international volunteers from the EU, UK and USA; create pilot Experiential Peacebuilding treks through the park, for the youth from the villages of Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro - making symbolic border crossings and spending time in each other's villages.
