Gayathri Puvimanasingham is currently the Programme Administrator at the Peace building & Development Institute in Sri Lanka, which a unique grass root initiative on training, capacity building and research programmes for conflict-affected areas in South Asia. In her capacity, she is handling all the administrative, financial and logistical duties. She has been working with humanitarian organizations for the past 8 years, including 5 years in the field of international training.
She was previously Events Administrator with RedR UK for 4 years where she was in charge of organizing workshops for international and locals aid workers. RedR UK is an international recognized training organization for nongovernmental organizations.
Gayathri is currently pursuing a degree in human resource management. She holds a diploma in Journalism and Diplomacy. In 2007, she was invited by the South Asian Network of Gender Activists and Trainers to attend to a course on Feminist Capacity Building, Sustainable Livelihood and Human Rights in Kathmandu, Nepal. She is fluent in Tamil, Sinhala and English.
Besides her professional work, Gayathri enjoys traveling and meeting with people from other culture and countries. She is also passionate about grass root organizations and welfare of her fellow citizens.
