In 2011, Tunisians took to the street to demand their rights. This was a revolution that brought youth and especially young women to the front to demand their freedom and a chance at real democracy. And today young women like Samah Krichah, a young activist who works as a partner with UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, continue to be at the front of the continued push towards fair representation. Samah is one of today’s record 1.8 billion young people who present an enormous opportunity to transform the future. “Young people are the innovators, creators, builders and leaders of the future. But they can transform the future only if they have skills, health, decision-making, and real choices in life,” says UNFPA Executive Director, Dr. Babatunde Osotimehin
