‘Wale Adeboye, currently the Nigeria Country Coordinator, Terrorism Research Initiative, is a proficient conflict manager. His specialty includes but not limited to, Responsibility to Protect (R2P), extremism and radicalization, mediation, negotiation, counterterrorism and strategic thinking & planning. ‘Wale, a certified chartered mediator and conciliator (ChMC), mediates and facilitates trainings, workshops and capacity building in the areas of human security and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Wale remains one of the few Nigerian youths with professional proficiency in engaging Non State Armed Groups (NSAGs) in negotiation and peace talks. Wale, an avid researcher is using his penchant for research to advocate for effective counter terrorism strategies, responsibility to protect (R2P) norms and human security in Nigeria and across West Africa. His current project is the West Africa-Responsibility to Protect (R2P) Coalition (R2P-WAC), an independent multi-disciplinary research and cooperation think tank developed to help create awareness and advocate positive change on issues of national and sub-regional security relating to human security and responsibility to protect (R2P).
