27 years old. BS Geography from University of Sindh, MA Sociology from Shah Abdul Latif University, Overall work experience of more than seven years in Project Management, Monitoring & evaluation, Community Mobilization, Conflict Resolution, and Advocacy, Has been with SFCG for one year. Has worked with different high profile National and International NGOs, like Indus Resource Center IRC, International Rescue Committee IRC, SHESW,SARC with the grants of donors like UNDP, UNICEF, USAID, Asia Foundation, Has been working on multiple peacebuilding and social cohesion projects in Karachi. In addition to working directly with youth, women leaders and political and religious groups, Mehran leads to provide leadership in planning, implementation and evaluation of the Promoting Peacebuiling among Religious Leaders and Community Leaders Project. He possesses a pleasant personality and has strong public speaking and interpersonal skills.
Specific Experiences and results of Engaging Youth in CVE: he has been engaged with youth in different projects currently being implemented by SFCG in some of the violent areas of Karachi. This includes Preventing Youth Violence in Karachi supported by USAID, Promoting Peacebuilding among Religious Leaders and Community Leaders supported by US Department of State Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, and My Story, Our Voice which is supported by UNICEF. He has worked with youth from diverse backgrounds and has helped SFCG develop platforms and networks in Karachi aimed at creating growth and learning opportunities for youth that are focused on developing thoughts and ideas in their minds that direct them away from violent solutions and towards positive approaches.
