Please share a short bio for yourself. This should be no more than 3-4 short paragraphs.
My name is Lauren Chamberlain and I am a current Master's student in the Social Justice and Human Rights program at Arizona State University, where I focus on peace education, youth violence prevention, and immigrant rights. I received my BA in Peace and Conflict Studies from UC Berkeley in 2004, and my M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from ASU in 2006. I am a Teach For America alumna, and taught kindergarten, first grade, and K-8 behavior intervention in Phoenix for six years before returning to graduate school for my MA.

I am a current intern at Search For Common Ground in Washington, DC, where I am part of the Institutional Learning Team. I will return to Phoenix this fall, and, after completing my Master's degree, plan to pursue a nonprofit career in youth violence prevention.
