Jason Kelleher has over 16 years of experience managing and supporting international technical assistance, training and education programs. Currently, he serves as an AED Senior Program Officer, leading business development for the AED Center for Enterprise and Capacity Development. In that position, he identifies and develops projects for donor consideration, particularly those related to international youth development, workforce and enterprise development, and capacity development. He has coordinated, contributed to and authored numerous successful proposals for AED, including several multi-million dollar, multi-organizational bids. In addition, he manages projects as assigned. Previous examples have included serving as Program Manager/Development Specialist for the Training Future Leaders Program, a USAID-funded scholarships program for emerging leaders from Asia and the Near East; Task Order Manager for the START/E-Learning Project, for which he managed the development of E-learning modules on Local Economic Development; and as Acting Task Order Manager for the START/Pakistan Teacher Education and Professional Development Program to strengthen teacher training. He also managed the highly successful US Department of Labor-funded program to build the capacity of the Romanian National Agency for Employment and the Ministry of Education to provide effective employment training, counseling and placement services for persons with disabilities. Prior to joining AED in 2000, Mr. Kelleher spent seven years in Central Europe, including five years in Budapest, Hungary, where he served in several positions for Central European University, lastly as Director of Student Services. In that capacity, he oversaw all university admissions, alumni, student recruitment, and student services for a diverse student body representing all countries of the Russian Federation, Europe and Eurasia. Mr. Kelleher holds a Masters in Education and Human Development.
