Youth Unemployment Far from Recovery: the ILO warns
Jobless rates among young people will get even worse globally as the spillover of the euro crisis spreads from advanced to emerging economies, according to an ILO paper titled "Global Employment Outlook: Bleak Labour Market Prospects for Youth". In a video interview with ILO TV, Ekkehard Ernst, lead author and Chief of the ILO's Employment Trends Unit, called for the need of implementing training and employment guarantees to help young jobseekers off the street and into useful activities.
