Call for Membership - UNOY Peacebuilders is looking for new members to join their network

Who we are


The United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY – pronounced ‘You Know Why’) is a global network of young people and youth organisations committed to establishing peaceful societies. UNOY Peacebuilders is a non-political, non-religious, non-governmental organisation that welcomes youth peace initiatives/ organisations and young peacebuilders regardless of gender, ethnicity, social class, religion, or any other distinction and has a clear mission.


We implement a wide range of projects and activities of Capacity Building Programme and Advocacy and Campaigning Programme. Activities we provide combine methodologies developed by non-formal education in youth work, peace education, community development and intercultural learning. Operating outside formal education, the non-formal approach we opt for includes a focus on equal (peer to peer), friendly, innovative, attractive, and involved relationships.


Who we are looking for


Youth led organisations (or youth led groups within another type of organisation) which are:

- Active in the field of peacebuilding and conflict transformation

- Committed to working for a Culture of Peace and against various forms of violence

- Inspired to take action in their own communities sharing a global spirit of solidarity

- Willing to learn from others and ready to contribute and share


The organisation or youth group should also share the vision of the United Network of Young Peacebuilders and be able to appoint two contact persons (male and female) who can communicate well in English.
