The Jacobs Foundation is seeking applications from early and mid-career researchers globally for itsResearch Fellowship Program. The Program aims at improving the development and living conditions ofchildren and youth or contributing to one of the thematic priorities.

Fellowships are awarded to the most highly talented and innovative young scholars and mid-career researchers working on child and youth development.

Thematic Priorities

Fellowship Categories

  • Jacobs Early Career Research Fellowship: The ideal candidate has obtained his/her PhD no more than 7 years ago.
  • Jacobs Advanced Research Fellowship: The ideal candidate has obtained his/her PhD no more than 15 years ago.

Funding information

  • The Funding Available for Jacobs Early Career Research Fellowship is 150,000 chf for 3 years.
  • The Funding Available for Jacobs Advanced Research Fellowship is 400,000 chf for 3 years.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowship Program is an internationally open.
  • Scholars who engage in interdisciplinary work on individual development and learning of children and youth, and who seek to combine genetic, epigenetic, neurobiological, behavioral and social levels of analysis, are particularly encouraged to apply.
